Every pricehas a shape.

Contour is a prediction market for crypto prices. Pick the price you expect at a set minute, decide how sure you are, and your stake spreads across the range. The closer the close lands to your call, the larger your share of the pool.

How a forecast pays

  1. Pick a contract

One coin, one exact minute. For example, the BTC/USDT 1‑minute close on 15 December at 12:00 UTC.

  2. Set your center and width

The center is your best guess. The width is your doubt. Your stake is split across 64 price bins along that curve.

  3. The candle decides

At close, Binance’s candle lands in one bin. Everyone with stake in that bin shares the pool, minus 2%.

BTC/USDTCloses 15 Dec, 12:00 UTC

If BTC closes at 100,000 USDT you receive139.22 USDC
+39.22%8.9% of your stake in this bin

Stake 100 USDC against 8 example forecasts. Drag across the chart to test any closing price. Narrow curves pay more when right and nothing when wrong.

Yes or no throws away what you know.

Will BTC close above $80,000?

A price of $79,990 loses the same as $40,000. There is no way to say “probably around $82k”.

Where will BTC close?

Say exactly what you think and how sure you are. Precision is paid; a wider curve hedges.

Questions

Can I lose my whole stake?

Yes. If none of your stake sits in the winning bin, you get nothing back. Being close is not a guarantee of profit: your share depends on the pool and on where others are positioned.

Why does my payout estimate move?

Every new forecast changes the pool and your share of each bin. The payout is fixed only when the contract settles.

Can I close a position early?

No. Contour is a pooled market without an order book, so a forecast stays in until settlement.

Where is my money held?

Deposits are held in Contour’s platform wallet on Solana and recorded as your balance. Stakes and payouts move inside your balance instantly. You can withdraw to the wallet you signed in with at any time; withdrawals are sent automatically.

Who settles a contract?

Nobody by hand. When the settlement minute ends, Contour reads that exact candle from Binance’s public API and pays out automatically. The source query is stored with every result, so you can check it yourself.
