Rules
How accounts, contracts, settlement and refunds work on Contour.
Accounts
- You sign in by signing a one-time message with a Solana wallet. The message never authorizes a transaction or a transfer.
- Sessions last 24 hours. Sign out on shared devices.
Funds
- Deposit USDC on Solana mainnet from the wallet you signed in with. It is credited to your Contour balance once the transfer is finalized.
- Stakes come out of your balance and payouts or refunds go back into it instantly when a contract settles.
- Withdraw any time, only to the wallet you signed in with. Withdrawals are sent automatically.
- Deposited USDC is held in Contour’s platform wallet on Solana. You pay the SOL network fee for deposits; Contour pays it for withdrawals.
Contracts
- Each contract names a pair on Binance Spot (for example SOL/USDT) and one 1-minute candle by its UTC start time.
- The outcome is that candle’s close, in USDT, without rounding. No other exchange, pair or minute is ever substituted.
- The contract range is split into 64 equal bins. Each bin includes its lower bound and excludes its upper bound; the last bin includes both.
- Forecasts close at the start of the settlement minute.
Settlement
- As soon as the candle is complete, Contour reads its close from Binance’s public klines API and settles automatically. The source query is recorded with the result, so anyone can verify it.
- The pool, minus a 2% fee, is shared among stakes in the winning bin in proportion to each stake in that bin.
- If the price is outside the contract range, the contract refunds in full. If the exact candle is still unavailable 24 hours after close, the contract is cancelled and every stake is refunded.
Refunds
- Every stake is refunded with no fee when the pool is under 100 USDC, fewer than two wallets took part, or no one holds the winning bin.
Limits
- Positions cannot be closed or sold before settlement.
- Several forecasts from one wallet count as one participant. A wallet is not proof of a distinct person.
