How Contour works

A Contour contract asks one question: where will this coin trade at this exact minute? You answer with a curve instead of a yes or no, and the pool pays whoever placed stake where the price actually lands.

Stake 100 USDC against 8 example forecasts. Drag across the chart to test any closing price. Narrow curves pay more when right and nothing when wrong.

The two numbers you choose

Center (μ) is your best guess for the closing price. Drag it on the chart or type it in the ticket.

Width (σ) is how unsure you are. About two thirds of your stake sits within one width of the center. A narrow curve concentrates stake and pays more when you are right; a wide one is harder to miss.

How the payout is computed

Your stake is split across 64 equal price bins along your curve. At close, the Binance candle falls in one bin.

payout = (pool − 2%) × your stake in that bin ÷ all stake in that bin

If nobody holds the winning bin, the pool is under 100 USDC, or only one wallet took part, every stake is refunded in full with no fee.
